A New Beginning (after a LOOOOOOOOONG time)

My first post was in Feb of '07... and now this was just my 4 post! hehehe (not really a blog person..) anyways, what I want to share to you right now is about a very basic topic in Christian living... "What comes after being saved?"

Now some Christians who are baptised at an early age (I did... 10yrs old) (take note this is not the baptism of new born babies but the immersion and etc.) often ask a question what now after I am baptised... these kids do have a heart for God and really receive Jesus as their savior and Lord... but then.. what's next?

It is stated in 2nd Chorinthians 5:17 (very common verse) that "If anyone who is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old has passed away, behold the new has come". Now this verse is a guideline and an idea of what happens after salvation. The answer is simply a changed life.

But then a question came into my mind upon using the word "If anyone who is in Christ" why not just say "If anyone is saved" or "if anyone is baptised".... now take note that after salvation you tend to naturrally be in Christ. Now what does it take to be in Christ?

Then God let me realize what this means... This may be explained easier through metaphoric measures...(I hope...)

Being in Christ requires:
1.)A lasting walk with God.
-This is like going "lakwatsa" with your friends, like malling, eating out and stuff. Did you know that God also likes to "Lakwatsa"? He sure is!! If we like to go to M.O.A., Global Fun , StarBucks, and Enchanted, God likes to go to Church, Fellowships, B.S. Groups, and Prayer Groups. Walking with God is like asking Him "Hey God! where do you want us to go?" and He will surely tell you where..:D
-At times places God wants to go doesn't always mean "Spiritual Areas" even in our own personal decisions He too is interested to go with us, like if we're having a hard time to choose between going to a debut or a prom... just ask God and He'll tell you where HE wants the BOTH of you to go...:D

2.)A lasting talk with God.
-This is like texting your crush, friends, bff's, and chatmates. God's style of texting is through prayer. Now prayer doesn't have to be standard and memorized... frankly speaking it should not be that way... Prayer is simply a way for you to tell God how you fell, what happened to you today and other stuffs you just want to express out. So if you don't know how to pray, you can just simply tell God,( Hi God! musta na u? lam m b sya day q ngaun!! heheheheÜ ) much like texting hehehe but never to forget you still need to respect God as GOD and KING... never forget that...

The 4 manifestations of being in Christ:
1.) Praying - You tend to pray all the time and communicate with Him, everywhere you go and anything you do.

2.) Bible Reading - Now after you pray, It's God's turn now to respond, and what better way for Him to respond but the Bible itself. Afterall, The word is God. (John 1:1)

3.) Attending Churches - Churches are placed in the 1st day of the week so that God is able to give you protection and the motivation to survive the whole week. Worship is also a way you give God your praise and thanksgiving.

4.) Attending Fellowships - Fellowships are not the same as churches... in fellowship, we receive more information about God and who He is through the testimonies of fellow brethren in Christ.

**So in a nutshell, the 4 manifestations are in a pattern of 1.)give-2.)take-3.)give-4.)take**

And so, these conclude some of the pointers in having a Changed life.
Remember "The OLD has passed away , behold the NEW has come!"
